Highly recommend this is authentic French dining at a small but cosy restaurant. We had superb smoked salmon and boutique champagne. The fish main dish was perfectly cooked in a creamy sauce but not too rich. The rump was perfectly poked and tender  with enough fois gras to ensure moist French flavour. Well worth the drive to get there.

Saint Andrew's

I would not recommend this despite excellent food and service. We ordered two glasses of house wine and two prix fixe menus. But when the bill was presented the server added a random extra amount of 10 euros and change. That was not an accident. When I pointed the overcharge out, the server apologized profusely. But the magic was broken.

This restaurant is closed permanently and has been for some time.      Should not be advertised.

Everything is perfect! Vintage French ambience, high quality ingredients, amazing taste, great service. We came here twice in a week that we were in Caen.

We had read good  reviews of this little restaurant so we booked a table for our first meal in France., we were not disappointed. They offer a choice of two set menus as well as a la carte. We chose the second menu which offered us an excellent range of dishes to choose from incorporating many local ingredients. The food was excellent, the local wine list was impressive and the service was friendly, prompt but also relaxed.
